Frequently Asked Questions
A group EMDR intensive can address many of the same concerns as an individual intensive, but all participants share a common experience or reason for attending. Examples may include:
  • Women experiencing betrayal trauma
  • Victims of a natural disaster
  • Families of a loved one diagnosed with cancer
  • Medical patients with a shared diagnosis
  • First responders with the same career or job
  • Individuals struggling with divorce

Each participant will complete a pre-intensive consultation and assessment before starting a group EMDR intensive. During the consultation, we will explore your needs and determine if a group intensive is the right option for you. If it is, we’ll conduct a comprehensive evaluation to assess your current situation and readiness for intensive work.

If a group intensive isn’t the best fit, we’ll provide alternative treatment options to better suit your needs.

All participants will be provided with a workbook or journal as well as writing materials. Additional literature and resources may be recommended based on the group’s unique needs.

Our groups typically include 8-10 participants, with two professionals: one leading the session and one assisting.
Sharing is never required. However, we do offer designated times for connection. Many participants find this time helpful, as shared experiences can foster a sense of belonging, validation, and support. This often helps reduce feelings of loneliness and shame.

The specifics of each group EMDR intensive vary depending on the group’s needs.

Detailed information will be shared once you reach out for more information.

All group EMDR intensives are currently scheduled for three full days.

Pricing varies depending on the group, typically ranging from $1,800 to $2,400 for three full 8-hour days (excluding lodging and meals). A 50% deposit is required to confirm your reservation, with the remaining balance due on the first day of the intensive.

We accept cash, checks, HSA, FSA, and all major credit cards.

Due to limited spots and reserved locations, we ask that you contact us as soon as possible if you need to reschedule. We’ll work together to find a new date, and your deposit or payment will remain unaffected.

For cancellations:

  • More than 30 days prior: Deposits will be refunded, minus a $1,000 scheduling fee.
  • Within 30 days of your scheduled date: Deposits are fully non-refundable.

This policy helps ensure fairness and allows us to accommodate others seeking care. Thank you for your understanding.

Group intensive locations are dependent on specific dates and are often determined closer to the time of the event. Participants are welcome to travel from anywhere in the world to attend. If you plan to travel, we will provide detailed information on local accommodations, transportation options, nearby airports, and the local area to assist with planning. We strive to ensure all locations are private, comfortable, and conducive to healing.

Yes, every intensive includes a post-intensive therapeutic consultation to review progress and offer tailored recommendations for ongoing support. Additionally, a follow-up coaching call is provided to help review and plan future goals.

If any concerns arise after the post-intensive consultation, you are welcome to reach out via phone or email, and we can schedule a follow-up.
